Praying through Ephesians 5:22-33;
~For the purpose of being a husband that reflects the love Christ has for His church.~
WEDNESDAY:
“so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.” V. 26-27
Pray:
1. “Rid the filth in my life”
2. “Saturate me in Your Word, the truth”
- What lies am I allowing to enter my thinking?
3. “Help me to pursue this first and foremost with my wife.”
4. “Reveal to me any reason to blame in my life and help me to get rid of it.”
5. “Cleanse me from my dark, evil, fleshly thinking”
6. “Help me to guard my thoughts throughout the day”
- What do I think about, what am I watching, what am I listening to
7. “Strengthen me to be the protector of my family, to guard what comes in and out of our doors.”
- What do we think about, what are we watching, what are we listening to?
8. “Help me to pray throughout the day for myself and my wife”
9. “I want to have thankful, God-honoring speech with my wife”
- How do I talk to her? Is it loving?
*REMEMBER*
Jesus already cleansed me from ALL unrighteousness. It is finished. Rejoice in this. Live this out.
